At West Glacier Elementary, our volunteers are among our most valuable resources. We warmly invite and encourage all parents, guardians, and community members to contribute their time at the school. Volunteers can assist with small group activities in the classroom, chaperone field trips, organize holiday parties or fundraising events, prepare hot lunches, help with maintenance projects, or support WGE in many other ways. Together, we create a brighter future!
You can sign up online to volunteer for various activities. Simply click the links below as they become available:
If you’d like to volunteer to help with small group activities in your child’s classroom,
please reach out to the classroom teacher—we’d love to have you!
Montana law, House Bill 745, went into effect on July 1, 2025. This law amends the MontanaCode Annotated (MCA §§ 20-3-323, 20-3-324, and 20-4-104) to strengthen student safety requirements in all public schools.
Anyone who may have unsupervised contact with students—including volunteers and field trip chaperones—must complete a fingerprint-based background check. Chaperones who will be with students without a WGE staff member present are required to complete this process through the Flathead County Superintendent’s Office in Kalispell before participating.
